Data & Account Deletion Policy
Step-by-step instructions to delete your Abygram account or request specific data erasure.
1. Instant In-App Account Deletion (Recommended)
You can permanently delete your Abygram account and all associated personal data at any time directly inside the Abygram mobile application:
- Open the Abygram app and navigate to your Profile tab.
- Tap the Menu icon (top right) to open Settings and Activity.
- Select "Account" → "Delete Account".
- Confirm your deletion request. Your account is immediately deactivated and scheduled for permanent cryptographic erasure.
2. Web-Based Data or Account Deletion Request
If you no longer have the Abygram app installed, you may request full account deletion or partial data deletion (such as removing specific posts, messages, or media while keeping your account) by emailing privacy@abygram.com from the email address or phone number linked to your account with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" or "Data Deletion Request".
3. What Data Is Deleted vs. Retained
When your account is deleted: your profile, username, photos, videos, stories, comments, likes, followers, direct messages, and device tokens are permanently deleted within 30 days. Only legally mandated financial transaction records (such as anonymized tax/billing audit logs for completed purchases) are retained as required by applicable financial regulations.
